Mt Edwards, Moogerah NP.

Mt Edwards is located on the banks of Moogerah Dam – you have to cross the dam wall to begin the hike! If you type ‘Haigh Park, Lake Moogerah’ into Google or Apple maps you will arrive at the right place (see map below). There is plenty of parking and a lovely shaded park for a picnic afterwards!

The hike is short & sharp, and the trail is easy to follow. This makes Edwards perfect for beginners even though we saw no-one else on the trail at all (hidden gem…). The summit is quite obvious and provides beautiful views over surrounding mountains and farms.

Travel time from Brisbane: 1.5hrs.
Trail Distance: Time: 6.5km // 2hrs.
Difficulty: Moderate.
